Nonionic triblock copolymer of polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene, whose concentrated aqueous solutions form thermoreversible gels as the temperature increases. It is used as a gelling agent and solubilizer of lipophilic actives and fragrances in cosmetic, pharmaceutical and veterinary formulations.
