Low-volatility glycol, miscible with water, used as a solvent and carrier for fragrances and essential oils. It is used in perfumery, cosmetics, air fresheners and cleaners, and as a coupling solvent in industrial formulations. It is a widely used mixture of isomers when a low-odor solvent is sought that is compatible with many raw materials and easy to handle in the plant.
