Silicone Antifoam
- Also known as:
- Silicone antifoam · Silicone defoamer · Silicone antifoam emulsion
Formulation based on polydimethylsiloxane and hydrophobic silica for foam control in aqueous processes. It acts at low doses by breaking existing foam and preventing its re-formation, with good persistence in systems with intense agitation. Compatibility with temperature and pH, and the suitable grade for cosmetic, pharmaceutical or veterinary processes, are verified for each application.
Functions
Typical applications
- Water treatment plants
- Industrial fermentation processes
- Textile dyeing and washing
- Manufacture of detergents and paints
- Foam control in cosmetic and pharmaceutical production

Diethylhexyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate
Anionic surfactant with high wetting power and low surface tension, used as a rapid wetting agent in textile preparation and dyeing processes. It facilitates the uniform penetration of aqueous baths into hard-to-wet substrates. It is also used as a wetting agent in agricultural formulations and industrial dispersions.
Mineral Oil-Based Defoamer
Defoaming formulation based on mineral oil with hydrophobic particles, designed for foam control in the manufacture and application of water-based paints. It acts both in the grinding stage and during filling, helping to reduce film defects such as craters and microbubbles. Compatibility testing is recommended for each formulation.
Sodium Polyacrylate
Sodium Polyacrylate
Low-molecular-weight acrylic polymer used as a dispersant for pigments and mineral fillers in water-based paints. It reduces grinding viscosity and improves dispersion stability, which is associated with better color development and less settling. It also acts as a scale inhibitor in water circuits.
Span 80
Sorbitan Oleate
Ester of sorbitan and oleic acid, a liquid lipophilic nonionic emulsifier with low HLB. It is used to prepare inverse and water-in-oil emulsions, and as a co-emulsifier in cutting fluids, agrochemical formulations and cosmetic creams.
