Water-soluble synthetic polymer obtained by hydrolysis of polyvinyl acetate, used as a film former, adhesive and dispersion stabilizer. It is used in peel-off masks, pharmaceutical coatings, adhesives and water-soluble films. Its properties depend on the degree of hydrolysis and the molecular weight.

High-viscosity cross-linked acrylic polymer, widely used to thicken and stabilize gels and emulsions. After neutralization it produces clear gels with a characteristic rheology, and suspends particles and actives with great efficiency at low use levels. It is also used in topical pharmaceutical and veterinary gels and in household care products.
